WE RE-NAME OUR GIN; MISTY ISLE.
Isle of Skye Distillers
01 September 2016
We have re-launched our label designs and renamed our gin to Misty Isle. A few of the big brand names were not happy with us using the term ‘Isle of Skye Gin’, even though at the moment we are the only distillery in Skye producing gin!
We are proud to reveal our unique bottle and label designs. Our bottle shape represents the elements on the Isle of Skye, our mountainous landscape and turbulent seas. Our unique bottle has a twist neck. It’s a heavy and dominant bottle, which we are sure will have shelf presence. Misty Isle is the nickname of the isle of Skye. Our label design* is an accurate representation of the Cuillin Mountains and will print with multiple raised edges. It has luxurious finished including a copper foiling that is a nod to our two copper gin stills…. We have named both our stills; Christy and Mairi.
Each bottle will be batch numbered and signed by either Alistair or Thomas Wilson. The bottles will be available initially on the Isle of Skye in early November. We are going to keep #batch 1 for Island only and then we will further distribute throughout the UK.
Designed by the team at EW:DM in Glasgow, we are sure our bottle will have the desired impact!
*Our label representations are 3D renders only. The labels are at the printers at the moment and we will have the real bottles at the end of November.
